Basic theory and practical methods of DevOps is a 2-days (16 hrs) course suitable for any engineer who is interested in software engineering delivery and DevOps.
DevOps, a combination of Development and Operations, is a group of processes, methods and systems. It aims to promote communication, cooperation and integration among development (including application development or software engineering), technical operation and quality assurance (QA) departments. DevOps is not only a culture, movement or convention that attaches importance to communication and cooperation between “software developers (Dev)” and “IT operation and maintenance technicians (Ops)”, but also makes it faster, more frequent and more reliable to build, test and publish software by automating the processes of “software delivery” and “architecture change”.
This course aims to help students fully understand the basic concepts, core concepts, practical methods and implementation strategies of DevOps. Through the study of this course, students will be able to master the core value of DevOps and learn how to effectively promote and implement DevOps in the team, so as to improve the efficiency and quality of software development and operation and maintenance.
