The Diploma in Financial Technology is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of the finance industry and the role that specific technologies are used within the financial institutions and markets. This diploma offers exploration of digital technologies and analytics and will prepare students with the programming knowledge they will require for their roles within the industry.

This full-time Diploma will introduce students to programming fundamentals, algorithmic problem solving, and data structures. Students will learn about financial institutions and markets as well as develop skills to be able to analyse behaviours and practices of the financial industry.

The objectives of this Diploma course are:

  • To povide targeted training focused on essential skill sets required for the financial and business sector.
  • To expose students to advanced programming and concepts and develop their skillset for a real-world environment.
  • To equip students with business and industry knowledge to prepare them for employment in the banking and financial sector.

Each module will be formally assessed by a mix of exercise, coding, and project work. Students must achieve an overall attendance of 90% (International Student) and 75% (Local Student).

For admission to the Diploma in Financial Technology programme:

Minimum Age Requirement: 17 Years Old

Language:

  • Minimum of Band 5.0 IELTS or above; OR
  • PTE Academic score of 41 or above; OR
  • Duolingo score of 80 or above; OR
  • TOEFL iBT score of 35 or above; OR
  • Minimum of C6 in GCE “O” level English; or equivalent.

Academic:

  • 2 Passes in GCE ‘A’ levels; OR
  • Year 12 High School or equivalent; OR
  • Mature candidate who is 30 years old with at least 8 years of working experience;
  • Other foreign qualifications shall be assessed on a case-by-case basis
