This comprehensive 18-month Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology (PGDICP) part-time programme instils the candidate a range of theoretical, analytical, conceptual and functional skills in counselling. While understanding the underlying theories, the candidate is also able to apply appropriate counselling skills in different situations. This graduate programme enables the successful candidate to work effectively as a counsellor.
This is a Singapore Association of Counselling (SAC) recognised programme that requires students to attend all classes on-site and complete practicum hours in person.

Besides introducing the academic aspect at graduate level, the Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology (PGDICP) focuses on developing and enhancing candidates’ experiential knowledge and skills professionally through a holistic approach. 13 Modules Modules Synopses Lecturers The programme expects candidates to complete individual and/or group written assignments, and/or written examination, depending on the modular criteria. Students must attend 75% of the classes to qualify for the examination. CAE requires a minimum 90% attendance each month from its international students on ICA’s Student Pass. To achieve a pass in a module, students must achieve at least 50% combining both written assignment and final examination. Candidates must also submit a written report upon fulfilling the compulsory practicum hours, to graduate from the course. Students must successfully complete and pass all the stipulated course modules to be awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology. For admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology programme: Module exemptions are only applicable to modules completed in a programme recognised by the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).
