It’s that time of the year again where everyone is starting to get into the festive end-of-the-year mood. Family, friends, adult, and kids will all be looking to join in the festivities and fun; but it’s this time can also be a difficult time for some children as they may not know how to fully participate and enjoy themselves.

Speech and language development may give the impression they are the same thing. While they are related, they are also quite different.

The development of a child’s speech and language development tend to follow a known pattern. It’s not always a cause for concern if a child’s development is a little slower than typical as children do develop at different paces. There are things you can watch out for.
