Workshop: An Introduction to Play Therapy – Discover the transformative power of play!

This Introductory Workshop is at stage 1 of the PTI four stage training model.

The Introduction to Play Therapy Workshop introduces mainly non-directive play techniques based upon the humanistic model of Carl Rogers and the work of Virginia Axline, Violet Oaklander and Mark Barnes. Participants will experience non-directive play therapy for themselves through sandworlds and a dip into the main skills (art, music, movement and storytelling ). Employment opportunities and training requirements for working therapeutically with children will be discussed

Disclaimer: The material at this Introductory stage does not normally entitle participants to practice therapeutic play or play therapy skills with children or adults.
