Are you considering a mid-career change to helping children?

If you’re exploring a mid-career change and want to work with children, College of Allied Educators provides a series of WSQ courses that may give you a head start if you’re looking to start your career in the special education industry or may be exploring a mid-career change and want to work with children.

CAE’s (MC) Advanced Certificate in Inclusive and Special Education is designed specifically to train potential teachers, parents and caregivers to identify, detect and support children with learning and developmental difficulties.

(MC) Courses are modular and stackable, allowing progress towards a certificate level qualification as you complete each individual module. These “stackable certificate courses” will help working adults to upskill in a manner that is easier to manage as they pursue their learning and development.

The (MC) Advanced Certificate in Inclusive and Special Education consists of:

Certificate in Special Education

  • The Certificate in Special Education will help to better equip you with skills to educate your students and children and give you more of an understanding about the importance of early intervention, how to manage your classrooms, as well as impart the knowledge and technique necessary for working with other services, professionals and volunteers.

Certificate in Inclusive Education

  • The Certificate in Inclusive Education will enable you to further develop and apply the principles and practices of early interventions as well as integrate lessons and activities to support the holistic development of children under your care.

The College brings a grounded, holistic experience with its focus on theory as well as real world, practical case studies and examples delivered by lecturers who actively practice in their respective fields. With our continued post course support, we wish to help instil knowledge and a sense of confidence in your teaching and managing children with special needs.

The course is accredited by Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ).
