This comprehensive 18-month Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology (E-Learning) part-time programme instils the candidate a range of theoretical, analytical, conceptual and functional skills in counselling. While understanding the underlying theories, the candidate is also able to apply appropriate counselling skills in different situations. This graduate programme enables the successful candidate to work effectively as a counsellor.
This is not an SAC-recognised programme as it is delivered through online conferencing applications such as Zoom. Students who intend to apply for SAC membership should refer to the Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology.

QUALITY MONITORING
All lessons are recorded solely for audit compliance and quality assurance purposes. These recordings are stored securely in a password-protected depository (e.g. cloud or encrypted hard disk) and retained for up to three months after the final class. They may be accessed by the Academic & Examination Board strictly for review and compliance checks only, and are not intended for public distribution or student access. At the end of each module, feedback is also gathered from both lecturers and students to identify strengths and areas for improvement in the learning experience.

ASSESSMENT METHODS & GRADUATION
The programme expects candidates to complete individual and/or group written assignments, and/or written examination, depending on the modular criteria. Students must attend 75% of the classes to qualify for the examination.
CAE requires a minimum 90% attendance each month from its international students on ICA’s Student Pass.
To achieve a pass in a module, students must achieve at least 50% combining both written assignment and final examination.
Candidates must also submit a written report upon fulfilling the compulsory practicum hours, to graduate from the course.
Students must successfully complete and pass all the stipulated course modules to be awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology.

Module exemptions are only applicable to modules completed in a programme recognised by the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).
